Dave was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He attended the University of Southern California were he obtained his B.A. degree in Economics and Political Science in 1971.  Dave received his J.D. degree from USC in 1974.

Dave practiced civil litigation with the firm of Albright & McGimsey in Las Vegas from 1974-1976. From 1976-1978 Dave served as a Deputy District Attorney in Las Vegas were he prosecuted a variety of criminal actions.

In 1978 Dave moved to Newport Beach and joined the firm Howser & Brown. He became a partner in 1983. Dave practices primarily in civil litigation including business and commercial litigation, real-estate, probate and personal injury. Dave also practices criminal defense.

Dave's real-estate litigation practice includes real-estate contracts, escrows, title insurance, deeds of trust, adjoining land owner disputes, easements, home owners associations, landlord tenant disputes, partition, construction defects, mechanics liens, agents and brokers and specific performance.

Dave's business litigation practice includes consumer transactions, contractual disputes, commercial code, shareholder and partnership disputes, employment, secured transactions, and collections.

Dave is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of California and Nevada. He has completed over forty jury trials and several hundred bench trials.

Dave's recreational interests includes snow skiing, golf, tennis, water skiing and photography.
